Introduction:Pseudosarcomatous myofibroblastic proliferations are an unusual, unknown condition in the etiology science.Usually reported in the genitourinary system, they are rare, benign proliferative lesions with a risk of confusion with malignant neoplasms.
Case Report:A 42-year-old woman is being operated with a preliminary diagnosis of acute cholecystitis.Grossly; the gall bladder dimensions measured were 9.5x7 cm, the thickness of the wall was 0.8 cm in the thickest area, the mucosa was irregular with fibrotic appearance, several millimetric stones were visible in the lumen. Microscopically ;reactive changes in gallbladder epithelium, gall bladder wall diffuse spindle / stellate cell proliferation, inflammation , myxoid degeneration,focal necrosis were observed. Spindle cells; SMA diffuse positive(+),desmin rare positive (+), ALK negative (-), p53 focal positive (+),Kİ-67 %3-4 positive(+),Pan-CK focal positive(+) especially under the epithelium staining was seen.
Conclusion:We reported our rare case with literature.
